Stephen Hawking Stephen Hawking was born on the eighth of January in 1942 in the county township of Oxford, in England. Stephen was born into the world in a family of sages . His father was Dr. Frank Hawking, a research biologist who was the head of the parasitological division at the NIMR which stands for National Institute for Medical Research. His mother was Isobel Hawking.
